Instead of Solving Their Countries' Problems "Human rights activists" Protest Against Israel / DR.Rivka Shpak Lissak

About 1,500, so called, "Human Rights Activists" left their comfortable homes in Western countries and volunteered to come to Israel to protest against Israel "cruel occupation" and "teach Israel how to solve its problems."

There are some questions to be asked about this phenomenon:

First, are all the problems in these Western countries from where they come had been solved so to make time to teach others how to solve their problems?
All societies in Europe are faced with the socio – economic – cultural problems of the immigrants and their children who occupy their slams. Should not these "best element people" dedicate their time and energy to help these people to integrate into their societies? does these immigrants and their children have equal rights and opportunities in Europe? Are they not discriminated?

Why these, "sensitive" people to the "suffering" of Palestinians are not sensitive to the suffering of the immigrants and their children in their own countries?

Second, what these, so called, "best element people" really know about the Israeli – Palestinian conflict to make them experts in telling puting all the blame on Israel?

Did they study the history of both, Jews and Palestinians before making up their minds?

Did they learn the history of the conflict thoroughly before making up their minds?

Did they hear both sides before making up their minds?

Third, there are much worse places in the world:
Syria - more then 9,000 civilians were killed by the Syrian dictator, this year, only because they want freedom and democracy. How many Palestinians were killed by Israel during the same period?

Tibet – this nation lives much more time under Chinese occupation, than the Palestinians. More than 200,000 people were killed by China (there are rumors the number is much higher) who is engaged in an ethnic- cleansing of the people of Tibet, and destroying their culture.

No flotilla project to Syria or China was organized. Nor a flying mission to these countries to save these poor people from persecution, torture and death was organized.

Why are these, so called, "human rights activists," so obsessed with one project only: the Israeli – Palestinian conflict

A possible answer:
It is very dangerous to protest against Syria or China. People might be arrested, tortured, sentenced to many years in prison or even killed.
But, Israel is a democracy. You are safe. There is a great chance that nothing is going to happen to you and after the protest you can have coffee at an Israeli coffee house and get a good night sleep in a decent hotel. The worst that can happen to you for getting on the nerves of some policeman or soldier by your provocations,is a slap on the face, wounded lips or some tear- gas.

And this is really what you came for: to prove how cruel is the so- called, "Israeli occupation."

And, after proving Israel is the "bad guy", the mission is fulfilled
and you go to your comfortable home satisfied of yourself. After all, it is important to feel good of oneself and a visit to Israel is
an easy way to get this feeling

Another possible answer:
Deep in your heart you are an anti-Semite and that is what is hidden behind your motivation. You can hide your hatred behind the "justified criticism of Israel."

I am sure that these, so called "human rights activist" are not interested to learn that the poor Palestinians don't live under "ISRAELI OCCUPATION" but under the rule of the Palestinian Authority.
Israel and the PA police are working together against terror.

I am sure that these, so called, "human rights activists" never heard or even ignored the fact that the Palestinians could have ended the occupation in 2,000 when they were offered the Clinton – Barak proposal, or the 2008 proposal by Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Ulmert.

Both proposals included a fair solution, recognized by the West, to the settlement issue, division of Jerusalem and 2 states. Both proposals were rejected by the Palestinians, because they did not include the settling of all Palestinian refugees in Israel and not in the Palestinian state as was proposed.

It is obvious that the settling of the refugees in Israel will turn the Jews into a minority and the Jewish state will cease to exist.

This is the real issue: the dream to put an end to the Jewish state

Why the Palestinians refuse to live side by side with Jews?

This is the issue.
