Norman Finkelstein, an American – Jew has devoted his career to prove that Israel is engaged in the genocide of the Palestinian people. He defined Israel as a "Genghis Khan With A Computer and said: "Sometimes I feel that Israel has come out of the boils of hell, a satanic state.".

Antony D. Cooper, A Canadian – Jew and a known novelist decided to search for the truth. He published 4 articles on Haffington Post during December 2011,in which he proved that Norman Finkelstein is an obsessed lier.

Definition of the term Genocide by Cooper:
"Genocide is the deliberate effort to erase an entire people. History offers very few examples. You can murder millions, yet not be guilty of genocide -- it is a question of intent, not mathematics."
Cooper brought as an example the Nazis effort to eliminate the Jewish people:
"The Holocaust was an effort to erase not simply every individual Jew, but everything associated with the people. Their entire being. It was a proposal to eliminate Judaism on every level: physically, culturally, theologically
Cooper concluded that "The genocide of the Palestinians, who number in the millions, would involve at the very least Israel's concerted effort to commit murder on an unspeakable scale".
Cooper brought a list of some of the worst mass murders in the 20th century:
Stalin in the Soviet Union - 9 million.
Mao in Communist China – 10 million.
The Belgian Congo- 8 million.
Japan - 4 million Chinese during second world war
Pol in Cambodia 1.65 million.
Kim Il Sung in North Korea -1.6 million.
The Turkish massacre of the Armenians: 1.2 million.
Pakistan, Rwanda, Iran, Somalia, Vietnam, Liberia, Burma, Sudan – every one, at least 100,000.
And then there is Israel.
The Arab population under the British Mandate was, according to Cooper, close to 1,200,000 people, and " The genocide of a nation -- must have undammed a river of blood'.
Cooper did not use Israeli sources in his research. After doing research Cooper found out that the total number of both Israelis and Palestinians killed in over of half a century of the Israeli – Palestinian conflict was about 15,000, and most of them were not civilians but combatants.

(My note:Out of 1,200,000 Arabs about 600,000 became refugees: 200,000 settled on the West Bank and 200,000 settled in Gaza).

Cooper brought the report of the World Bank of 2010 to prove that the population of the West Bank amounted to 4,152,000, and continued to grow in 2011.

In Short, THERE IS NO INDICATION THAT ISRAEL IS ENGAGED IN THE GENOCIDE OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE AND NORMAN FINKELSTEN IS A LIER

(My note: the Gaza population is 1,500,000 and 1,000,000 of them are Palestinian refugees. 200,000 refugees in 1948 number now 1,000,000. No genocide took place in Gaza. During the Cast Lead Operation, 1,300 Palestinians were killed. An official Hamas source admitted that 850 of their combatants were killed. So, 450 civilians were killed – not intentionally, but during a war).

As an Israeli and a Jew, I feel sorry for any human being killed during the Israeli – Palestinian conflict. But, the demonization of Israel should stop. Israel and the Palestinians are engaged in a national conflict and both sides are responsible for the death of about 1,500 Jews and Palestinians. But, it is important to point out that most of the fatalities are combatants – not civilians.
