Information On the Members of the Goldstone Commission / DR.R.S.Lissak

The chairman of the UN commission to investigate the war in Gaza, Judge Richard Goldstone, has made up his mind on Israel long ago.
He recommended accusing General Sharon of war crime in 1982 before the Hague Tribunal.
He initiated a public- trial at the University of New York on the legitimacy of the Israeli fence.
He was a member on the HRW (the Human Rights Watch) Board, an organization blamed for its poor investigations and inaccurate reports , for its ideological bias against Israel, and of getting grants from Saudi- Arabia, known for its anti-Semitism and anti- Israel sentiments.

Prof. Christin Chinkin, Prof. of Law at the London School of Economics, published an open letter in the "The Times" on January 11, 2009, stating: "Israel's bombardment of Gaza is not self-defence-it's a war crime…The rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas deplorable as they are, do not, in terms of scale and effect amount to an armed attack entitling Israel to rely on self-defence… Israel's actions amount to aggression, not self-defence." This letter was published one day before the UN Council on Human Rights decided to appoint a commission (Resolution S-9/1).

50 British and Canadian lawyers signed an open letter, with the UN Watching Group, against the nomination of Prof. C.Chinkin to the commission, stating that her nomination "compromise the integrity of this inquiry and its report".

Judge Goldsone admitted on an interview to the "South African Business Day", in August 2009, that she would be disqualified to be appointed to a formal judicial inquiry.

Lawyer Hina Jilani is active in issues of human rights in her country, Pakistan, and in international organizations.
In 2005 she was quoted as stating: "Israel is depriving Palestinians of their basic human rights using security as an excuse". JURIST.

Col. Desmond Travers, an Irish retired Colonel, is now Director of the Institute for International Criminal Investigation in Hague.

All members of the Gladstone Commission signed an open letter, published 16 March 2009, addressed to UN Secretary- General Ban Ki- Moon, stating: "We believe there is an important case to be made for an international investigation of gross violations of the laws of war, committed by all parties to the Gaza conflict…The events in Gaza have shocked us to the core…We must also establish the truth about crimes perpetuated against civilians on both sides."

This information on the members of the commission proves that they had made up their minds on the Gaza war long before the investigation even started. There is reason to conclude that they are not the unbiased candidates for the investigation held in the end of June 2009.

Flush them out

Israel knew there will be worldwide repercussions to Cast-Lead, and is big enough to sustain it's dignity proudly. It is the likes of self deprecating jews that would have stayed enslaved in Egypt 3300 years ago that need to be flushed out of the ranks today. Goldstone is following orders, not rational nor conscience.
