Judge Goldstone published an article in Washington Post, April 1, in which he admitted that claims of Israel's Gaza War crimes should be reconsidered.

He accuses Israel for the wrong conclusions included in his famous report, because Israel refused to cooperate.

He totally ignores the reasons Israel refused to cooperate:
First, the UN Human Rights Council was biased against Israel, accusing Israel of war crimes even before the investigation commission was nominated.
Second, the members of the commission accused Israel for war crimes even before they were nominated to the investigation.
As a result, Israel concluded there was no chance to get a fair investigation.

Judge Goldstone was chosen by the UNHRC because he was Jewish, to give credibility to the report whose conclusions were known even before the investigation was started, given the composition of the investigation commission.

Goldstone wrote: "We know a lot more today about what happened in the Gaza war of 2008 -09 than we did when I chaired the fact-finding mission…If I had known then what I know now, the Goldstone Report would have been a different document."

Judge Goldstone criticized the Hamas for doing nothing to investigate sections in the report referring to Hamas' war crimes.

He also criticized the UN Human Rights Council for its anti- Israel bias. Strangely enough, Judge Golstone discovered the Coucil's biased attitude towards Israel only now.

Judge Goldstone is ready to say now that the rockets targeted against Israeli civilians were war crimes committed by the Hamas, because they were intentionally targeted against civilians, while this was not the case as far as Israel was concerned.

The Goldstone Report brought serious damage to Israel's image in the world media.

The question is if the damage could be reversed after Goldstone article.
